How ShiftView Works
How ShiftView Works
ShiftView uses a compact hall effect sensor and magnet to detect shifter movement.
During setup, you simply shift through each gear once.
The system learns your shift pattern and stores it permanently.
- No connection to ECU, CAN, or OBD is required.
- No coding. No vehicle specific wiring.
Installation
Installation
1️⃣ Mount the display
Choose from:
- Included swivel stand with adhesive base for flat surfaces
- 52 mm flange for gauge pods or dash openings
- 17 mm ball joint using existing phone mounts
2️⃣ Mount the sensor
Use the 3M adhesive bracket to place it near your shifter on the console or tunnel.
3️⃣ Attach the magnet
Secure it to the shifter using either the zip-tie block or metal clamp.
4️⃣ Connect power
Wire the display to a 12 V ignition power source and ground.
5️⃣ Calibrate
Shift through Neutral, Reverse, and all gears (1 to 6). ShiftView™ stores your pattern automatically and recalls it every time.
Typical install time: ~20–30 minutes.

배송은 45일 걸렸어요. 장착은 손재주만 있으면 누구나 DIY할 정도로 쉽습니다. 간혹 운전중에 센서 인식을 못하는것같은데 하루에 한번씩 재설정하는 느낌입니다. 차종은 370Z IRP 숏시프터를 사용하고 있어요. 게이지는 52Ø, 장착해보면 생각보다 커요. 작은 버전도 있으면 좋겠습니다. 30Ø정도의 디스플레이가 좋을건 같긴해요. 센서와 마그네트의 간극은 어느정도가 적당합니까?

매일 재설정이 필요하다는 센서 인식 문제로 불편을 드린 점 진심으로 사과드립니다. 이 문제는 센서 또는 자석 마운트가 완전히 단단하게 고정되지 않았을 때 거의 항상 발생합니다.
지속적인 성능을 위해, 주행 중 센서가 위치를 잃게 만드는 미세한 움직임을 없애려면 베이스 센서 마운트와 자석 모두 매우 단단하게, 저희가 '돌처럼 단단하게(rock hard)'라고 부르는 정도로 설치되어야 합니다. 이것이 가장 일반적인 해결책이므로, 두 구성 요소의 설치를 다시 한번 확인하고 단단히 조여 주시기 바랍니다.
간극에 대한 질문에 대해서는, 최적의 거리가 설치 가이드에 자세히 나와 있지만, 일반적으로 안정적인 인식을 위해서는 매우 작고 일정한 간극(보통 10-20mm)이 필요합니다.
또한 게이지 크기에 대한 고객님의 피드백에 주목하고 있으며, 향후 더 작은 버전을 개발할 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다.

Great product, fits and works in my e30 m3! My only wish is that it came with a link to the programming instructions but they are online if you search. The brackets that hold the sensor and magnet were a bit too big for my setup but they are easily removed and I was able to make it work.

Just a heads up: we actually do have a full programming tutorial on the product page. If you scroll down, the guide and setup steps are all there.
As for the brackets, every E30 setup is a little different, so totally understand the slight tweak. Good call making it work the way you needed.
