The base plate replaces your original ashtray and accepts modular inserts for USB charging, voltage monitoring, ball mounts, and I/O switching. Perfect for E30 enthusiasts who daily their car or want subtle modern upgrades.

Each insert is built around E36 OEM switch dimensions, making it compatible with E36-style switches and aftermarket modules. 

Please note: the conversion base plate is a mandatory purchase; the modules will not fit on their own.

Installation

Installation is straightforward:

  1. Remove your original ashtray
  2. Install the conversion base plate using the included hardware
  3. Plug in your chosen module to a 12V power source
  4. Snap the module into the base plate
